Zeroing a Rifle Basics

Zeroing a rifle optic can be a challenging task, especially for new shooters. Whether you are new or an experienced hunter, or just looking for better results at distance shooting, this class is for you. This class will cover all the basics such as distance shooting fundamentals, bore sighting, mounting an optic properly, understanding MOA’s (minute of angle), MIL’s (milliradians), baseline zero, scope and optics adjustments among other topics to get the best performance of your distance shooting system (rifle & scope)

Prerequisites:  

Basic knowledge of bolt action or semi-automatic rifles

Required Equipment: 

Rifle with mounted scope or electronic optic

Optic manual

Scope adjustment tool (if needed)

Eye and ear protection (electronic ear protection preferred)

Proper range attire (long pants, closed shoes, high collar shirt)

Shooting mat (optional)

Bench support (optional…sled, sandbag, or any other support equipment)

Spotting scope (optional)

Black or red sharpie
